Snapshots from Walla Walla

Here’s a quick postcard from Walla Walla sent by our dancers on the road, prepping for their performance at the Walla Walla Summer Dance Festival.

Brian Simcoe writes:

It’s the second day of rehearsal for the group here and, as you can tell, we are loving Walla Walla. This is us arriving at the rehearsal studio right after taking class at the dance studio down the street. There’s this huge metal sculpture outside, and the day is so warm and sunny that we thought it was the perfect kodak moment to send to our friends at home.

The dancers are rehearsing a suite version of Christopher Stowell’s Eyes on You right now. Here’s a pic from the rehearsal room of Brian Simcoe and Ansa Deguchi polishing a moment from the piece.

Hard work, an little sun and a little traveling… a perfect summer tour.
